Future Homes in the Central City Neighborhood of New Orleans
Revitalization of the Central City Neighborhood and creation of housing opportunities began with Jericho Road’s purchase of properties and participation in the City of New Orleans’ targeted adjudicated neighborhood development program.

Jericho Road has partnered with CrossRoads Missions to construct shot-gun style homes on lots throughout the neighborhood. All Jericho Road properties are clustered near churches and businesses fostering the continued neighborhood and community partnerships. The properties are located in the Philip-Magnolia Street area where the first modular homes in the traditional New Orleans style have been placed. Similar shot-gun style homes are being constructed in the Lower Dryades area by our partner, Crossroads Mission.

Jericho Road will continue it's efforts to build affordable housing and revitalize the Central City neighborhood as long as there is a need. To provide the highest quality, lowest cost homes for low and moderate income clients, we will continue to seek partnerships and resources.

Complementing ongoing housing efforts, Jericho Road is also working on clean up and redevelopment of a “brownfield” site in Central City. As a contaminated property, this land is of no use. Jericho Road plans to clean up the toxic contamination on this vacant property and put this land back into commerce.
